I have managed to fit in a few days in Edinburgh this week and, of course, have done a walk in my favourite spot – the Water of Leith. The weather hasn’t been great, but that doesn’t matter – the autumn colours look wonderful whatever!

I have a couple of days away next week and was wondering where to go. Now I’ve seen this I just remembered that I always wanted to walk the Water of Leith. Too late- going to the Lakes 🙂 Glad to see you up and about again, within whatever limits. Train to Vienna sounds great. 🙂 Take care!

Landscape in between the residences is restful for the eye.Do you know how long they won’t allow you to travel? For you I hope not too long – I wonder if it feels confining, with all the travelling you did before…

3 months for flying. Probably same for driving. 1 month crossed off already! It is difficult for work. I’ve had to cancel attending a conference in Istanbul which is sad and I really like to go to Spain in December. I’m thinking about going by train but it takes much longer. I am going to Vienna by train though which will be interesting! And fun I hope!

That sounds like you would pass some beautiful landscapes! It reminds me on Agatha Christie’s train travels:) Hang in there!

Very pretty. I liked the angle of the shot with the morning glory through the fence.

Not much at the moment as Im not allowed to fly or drive after my recent operation. But Edinburgh is easy to reach by train. And I have an awful lot of Istanbul photos that I haven’t even edited yet. x

We were there on Friday! I’d love to live in the flats with balconies if I ever deserted Glasgow for Edinburgh.
