Autumn’s morning fog made sitting on one of the many benches in Hampstead Heath somewhat impractical – unless you don’t mind getting a wet bottom. But as the morning progressed, the sun won the arduous battle and the benches eventually dried out.

Many of the benches carry loving messages to departed friends and relatives, something I love to see. Often sad, but always good to appreciate the loving memories.

What a fabulous foggy photo Debbie. And I love bench memorials, they seem such a practical way to remember someone you love. People can remember you and also enjoy a rest.
