Martin Luther King and a Musician

The highly recognised face of Martin Luther King Jr. (1929–1968) seemed a great background to a small musical group who entertained the crowds in Ljubljana.  A good combination of a famous face and one who probably seeks fame.

I can find no record of who created this vibrant mural, but it appeared some time between September 2013 and October 2014.  It is located on Hribarjevo Nabrežje close to Cobbler’s Bridge.

The text here that I believe is part of the original mural design relate well to the work of the Nobel Peace winner and human rights leader: “Moč besed” means “the power of words”, and “Govori ljubezen” means “speak love”.

    • Hi Tom, There is a scrawl that may be a signature of something like Ilojon or Hojon, but it means nothing to me.
