Lowry Bridge, Salford Quays
Winter light can always be relied on to give gold colouring and reflections, though this bridge is impressive at any time. It is a 92 metre long, single span lifting footbridge across the Manchester Ship Canal. Four tubular 30 metre-tall steel towers, two at each end, contain visible motors and pulleys that raise the deck above the water when shipping needs to pass.

This is such a lovely perspective! I always love bridges and the engineering behind them can be very very beautiful =) #mysundayphoto
