Street art tribute to David Bowie, Manchester, 2016

French-born street artist, Akse, created this wonderful tribute to David Bowie.
He is a skilled portrait artist who graces streets around the world with his work. As he is based in Manchester, I have had the pleasure of seeing several of his pieces.

Bowie deserves many tributes, and I am very pleased to see this one. Great work from the street artist and you Debs!

Thanks Paula It will be sad to see this one replaced by the next bout of street art.

The way he framed Bowie’s face makes the connection with the viewer seem so personal. Thanks for contributing to this week’s Monday Mural.
