Arles, France, August 2016
France has been seducing me this year and August dragged me back to one of my favourite areas, Provence. I was there for a photography workshop (Cities at Dawn), some relaxation and a visit to the international photography exhibition.
Part of the workshop had us out on the river bank, learning some of the skills of portrait photography. This is not an area that I really practice and I was most grateful for the clear explanations and great patience of the assistant teacher, Tom Chaplin (and for the charm of the model, of course!). Tom is a keen freelance photographer and a coach who really knows how to share even technical details with great clarity – pop over to his website to see some of his great work.
This lesson certainly opened my eyes to an area I need to work on!

Oh, that sounds lovely to learn more of photography in a place like that, the photo works brilliant along with your header. And thanks for the link, I will botanize in his website 😀
