A waterside walk in Oslo kept my finger busy on my camera shutter, but I did find time for a chat with a friendly local who was about to sail across to his house boat. I learned about the frustrations of living off shore in winter and found that this man’s slightly wild reaction to an icy day was captured on video by someone on a passing ferry. As a result of this instant fame the police came out to remove him from the water and he became known as the Crazy Man of Oslo Fjord.

Crazy man in the yellow boat, Oslo, October 2016
You can watch the video here, but it is rather distant and fuzzy.

Great comment there on the video: “Ble denne videoen filmet med en potet?” (Was this movie filmed using a potato?) 😀

Sort of like when it snows you had better have a plow!

I think do. Big must be difficult when you’re in need of something. Like food!

Yes – I think there is little chance of success in the ice – unless your vessel is equipped with an ice breaker
