Che Guevara in Havana,  Cuba,  November 2016

This mural by Vin Sever (my interpretation of the signature) adorns a wall at the corner of San Ignacio and Santa Clara, very close to the Plaza Vieja in Havana.

Many of the murals on the streets of Havana are the result of the triennial (sic) Havana Biennial Art Festival (next one due November 2018).  Unapproved street art is not allowed.

    • It was a nice piece. There’s another bigger and more known Che mural – I have probably over a hundred different shots of it (combined with cars and people) – I’ll post some eventually – just need to decide which ones!!

    • There has to be control of some kind – I can’t say how restrictive it is in Cuba without living there, but it certainly has its upsides in terms of great education and health service. And the music seems to help them overcome the downsides 🙂
