Saggrenda is home to a massive (no longer active) silver mine. As a result, the National Mint is in neighbouring Kongsberg.

A colourful note: Mountain meadow appeared on the Crayola crayon labels in 1998, a truly descriptive name for an actual shade that had appeared as a True Blue Hero crayon in 1997.
