Fritelle come in a variety of flavours. The Fritelle Veneziane, probably my favourite, feature pine nuts and fruit mixed into the batter. Battling for my top choice are Fritelle alla crema, created with pastry cream and by that vicious looking implement above. Other tasty options include chocolate or zabaione fillings, and sometimes fruit fillings. My advice? Try them all and chose your own favourite!
