A colourful note: fuchsia is a purplish-pink colour named after the plant of the same name. The plant was discovered in the late 17th century and was named in honour of a famous German botanist, Leonhard Fuchs (1501–66).
The first recorded use of fuchsia as a colour name in English was in 1892 and it became a Crayola crayon almost one hundred years later, in 1990.

This really is how drivers and pedestrians feel about each other. Not a pretty metaphorical picture. Thanks for contributing to this week’s Monday Mural.
