Çay Bagi 145,  Old City,  Baku,  Azerbaijan,  March 2017

In Azerbaijan, anytime is teatime.

Sitting in a great location close to the Maiden Tower, Çay Bagi 145 (Tea Garden 145) is a great spot to go for copious amounts of tea, plus sweet delicacies and charming service.

  1. That’s a very interesting perspective on a hammam. The ones in Morocco weren’t nearly as ornate or interesting from the outside. What kind of teas do they serve and is there a specialty tea of the country?

    • They serve a variety of teas – I usually just go black. The secret in Azerbaijan is more about the custom and the accompaniments – plenty of sweetness. Baklava and similar delights, sugar and very fruity jam
