A colourful note: the Crayola interpretation of the colour of blush is surprisingly robust, an unusual choice for a name that is normally associated with a delicate pink. The term blush did not appear on Crayola crayons until 2005, when the previous cranberry shade (born in 1998) suddenly became blush, with no explanation and no publicity.
