Goodness, never tasted wine from that region – Rhine, Mosel, Franken, Saxony are the German regions I’m familiar with!

Sounds good! What was the grape variety? (Just testing!) and I’ve just noted I didn’t mention Saale-Unstrut in my listing…..

I can see you are well experienced!
It was Müller-Thurgau and Pinot noir. There was one town particularly know for the wine – Meersburg – a little beauty. And they have a wine fair in July. Something to go on my list, I reckon!
