Temple (2008) by Damien Hirst, London, August 2017
This ‘Temple’ of a body stands 21-feet tall, weighing in at over 3 tonnes and made of painted bronze. It presents an anatomical model of a male torso with the musculature and organs exposed.
It is the work of Damien Hirst and featured in some of his solo exhibitions, including ‘Requiem’ in Kiev in 2009 and ‘Cornucopia’ in Monaco in 2010). It is now on display on Callum Street in East London, close to Leadenhall Market.
