I first came across the geometric work go Manyoly in London;’s Brick Lane, and was pleased to face it again in Arles last week.

I like this, it’s very colorful.

His technique is intriguing. A few lines for shape and then blocks of color for all the definition. Artists really do see the world differently from most of us. Thanks for contributing to this week’s Monday Mural.

So what are you up to in September that’s going to keep you even busier, Debs? I hardly thought it was possible 🙂 🙂

How is it you find this great art everywhere??? Is it just serendipity?

In big cities, I usually go hunting for it – there are usually a few areas that have plenty. In Arles there is not much street art as such (or not that I found) but there are lots of interesting posters.

How cool to see it in two entirely different places!

Yes, I’m starting to pot some of my favourite street artists in several cities. They travel widely!

There are so many ways to portrait someone and this is no exception. Greatly done.

…I like the impressionist look to this one.

I’ll post one I saw in London soon. I seem to remember it as paler and more impressionistic. Though the strong French sun may have made a difference!

There’s one on Brick Lane that I thought I had shared but realise I haven’t. But it’s a bit disguised there because of all the other competing (an often overlapping) work

OK….I might even have seen it, but not seen it, if you know what I mean!!
