This church on the edge of Shadwell Basin is St Paul’s, named after St Paul’s Cathedral. The first incarnation of this establishment was the Church of Sea Captains, built in 1656, but the present building didn’t come along until 1821. Designed by John Walters, it is the oldest of his works to still survive.

Beautiful shot and building. Just the way you captured the building and its surroundings gives a nice slice of life picture.

Such a lovely old building, the tower block behind feels like the wrong backdrop, such is the way cities develop.
