Final touches being added, 6 June 2018
St Albans Museum + Gallery opens to the public on 8 July 2018. The historic Town Hall has been renovated and now offers three floors of the newly created state-of-the-art gallery spaces. The new hand-excavated basement gallery will be home to the museum’s flagship exhibitions, starting with First Impressions, whilst the renovated Courtroom will be the source of refreshment for its visitors.
I’ve been watching the work on this Grade II* listed building with eager anticipation and will be there to enjoy the opening tomorrow morning.

Original and clever take on “nascent”. I am very impressed, Debbie!

Just back from a quick visit. Very well done. Good mix of history and art. And excellent cakes!!
I’ll be going back on a quieter day to have a better look at the exhibitions.
