St Paul’s Cathedral, London, August 2018
St Paul’s has been operating late nights on Thursday over the summer, and I managed to get there this week. Unusually for St Paul’s, cameras (but no tripods) are allowed. And the outdoor galleries are open for outdoor views.
This coming Thursday, 30 August, is the last late opening for summer 2018.

Some how it seems odd to me that there are candles present in summer. #MySundayPhoto

How beautiful and how wonderful that St Pauls have allowed this. #MySundayPhoto

What a lovely idea to have a late night opening through the summer months. Love your photo and the swaying candles.

But do you still have to pay £16 simply to get in to the cathedral? I wanted to visit last December but was put off by the entrance fee. That aside, lovely image of St Paul. The candles add to the atmopshere and the icon is captivating. #mysundayphoto

Yes, you do. But buying a normal ticket gives you an annual pass and you can use that for the late night too.
And there really is a lot to see in there – I still haven’t seen everything

I like the feeling of the breeze moving the candles to the side.
