really??!! in September! and you were in a right place at right moment! how lucky. this is amazing and you captured it well. we were in May, and no sign of it. btw, how were the settings? long exposure, low ISO, tripod?
Somehow spotted that I never replied to this. Tripod. Thick jacket, multiple layers, even a blanket! Not too long an exposure or you get star trails. Theses were ISO400, 10 seconds. But there may be better ways to do it. We had the lights 2 nights in September but missed the first ones 😦
There are not enough “loves” for this. I am hoping to get to Iceland next year in March or April. The fact that you saw this as early as September gives me hope that I might see it too. Either way I know Iceland itself will be spectacular.
