Enjoying a marmalade sandwich
The very first book featuring this much-loved character, entitled “A Bear Called Paddington”, was published on 13th October 1958. The 60 years have flown along, with a whole series of Paddington books, tv programmes and films.
Paddington was there to help his author, Michael Bond, celebrate his 90th birthday in 2016.
Now it’s our turn to celebrate Paddington’s.

The books were in Waterstones on Piccadilly I think. The main display was in Paddington Station

How fun! The little cart with Paddington paraphernalia has been replaced by a store?

I love how we take an animal and make him cuddly and cute eating things like marmalade sandwiches, honey and even picnic baskets. It makes us smile even as adults.
