I assume this originally was a place where coal was stored or sold. Interesting how years later building uses change and become sometime more beautiful than the original.

Many stories say it was the coal cellar of the Savoy Hotel, others say it is the place where the coal bearers from the Thames just behind here used to relax and drink.

Yes, I was there around midnight so the pub was closed making it all look darker.
