Maltese nature trail

The terrain around the ancient remains of the Hagar Qim and Mnajdra Temples is home to a wide range of flora and fauna, with a number of nature trails there for visitors to follow. Here we have nature’s history and evolution right next to that of man.

The flora is typically Mediterranean, with some species specific to Malta, including Maltese Spurge and Maltese Fleabane.

Here’s a glimpse at the early Spring flora that greeted me on my wander there last month.
