Summer on Thursday; winter on Friday.
Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.
I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.
To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally – tweet, instagram, flickr, etc. with the hashtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS.

Never a deadline, but best to link your six words into this week’s so that no-one misses it.

I was trying to link my pingback but it didn’t seem to want to take. I’ll try again. Thanks.

It takes a week at least to dry a shirt 😀😀

One can almost feel the moisture in the air. Interesting photo, Debbie.
The weather in the Netherlands is also sliding into autumn, temperatures are dropping to around 20C next week.

I love the sky and the curve of the buildings all along the left side and then the poor washing that’s someone’s hoping will dry quickly. 🙂

Oh, I have friends descending on Edinburgh in the coming week (descending is the right word, there will be around a 1000 of them, of which I know a couple of hundreds, about 50 of them I call friends, about 20 good friends). If you have time, have a look out for the Eurohashers. On Wednesday, they will be at their most flamboyant, the shenanigans (and sport!) kick off with a (charity) Red Dress Run in Edinburgh on Wednesday. Near a brewery in the historic part of the city, is all I know. But if you see a lot of men (and women) in red dresses – that’s them. I always think it would be a great photo op but I’m usually too busy having fun and no hands free for a camera (holding at least one beer). Anyway, I hope they encounter Scottish rain and get thoroughly wet!
In the meantime, I dared to disturb one of the supreme rulers: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2019/08/10/how-dare-you-wake-me-human/

I will definitely look out for them. I’m popping off elsewhere on Monday but will be back on Wednesday. I’ll share some redness on my blog if I find them 🙂

Please do. And take an umbrella. Because I’m preparing a rain dance and hope they get thoroughly drenched (I’m not envious, never!)

Trying to remember when I was last there but I remember something very similar. Get that washing in quick! 🙂 🙂 Happy weekend, Debs! I won’t be hanging any of mine out in Leeds, either 😦

I think I might have escaped the worst of the weather and travel chaos by fleeing up here 🙂 My sister (another Jo ) arrived in a very grey Devon yesterday, with everything closed due to one of the major power cuts.
A lot of the washing spends days outside here – I think it gets caught in the rain and then they just leave it in the hope the sun will eventually shine!
Enjoy your weekend too, Jo.

And I’m glad you left the link as it’s a great image.

Amazingly, it didn’t last long. I went out armed with plastic covers for the camera and didn’t need them 🙂

Love the contrast of the green grass and colourfull laundry against the grey sky and bricked houses.

Yes, I was pleased they had left their laundry to suffer the weather 🙂

I love this shot Debbie. The intensity of the light in those moments before the rain comes is so special. 🙂

You’re right – it was a great sky. And I always love this view across gardens. And that’s Murrayfield rugby stadium in the background.
