Secret

“A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you the less you know. “

Diane Arbus

It’s time for a weekly quotation-inspired image.

If the quote inspires a pictorial or wordy post from you, do feel free to link in or to pop your URL in the comments.

      • The joy of words! (As well as photos) to me, mystery sounds more as though the photographer is creating the mystery whereas secret sounds more unintentional. But that’s just my interpretation. I had had this quote waiting for ages and couldn’t think what to put with it.

        • thanks for the reply- and the photo you used made me think of secret in a better way –
but funny you should say “Unintentional” because I feel the opposite with that word – to me it is quite intentional – a secret seems to be something concealed on purpose – whereas a mystery is unknown.
and I know we are talking photos – but hate the word ‘secret’ because in my mind it has connotations of hiding, burying, untruthful, and maybe even devious. How’s that for not liking a word… lol
