Spring in bloom at Kew Gardens, London, April 2019

Blossom with added Chihuly, April 2019
I loved the Chihuly exhibition at Kew last year, visiting several times, both day and night, but this section was never the same once the blossom had gone.
In the run-up to Christmas, however, Kew gave us another little pink treat, with blossom lights on the trees.

Lovely. I’m quite literally just now going through my photos of Kew from April last year. I was there on Easter Friday and the weather was perfect. I’d have loved to have seen the Chihuly sculptures at night.

Kew was spectacular last Spring. I’m glad you got to see it in its full glory. The night setup was excellent but it had to wait for the shorter days. I haven’t shared many of my night photos. I must put that right!

The only time I was at Kew was with the Chihuly installation, which makes everything, even Kew, better. 🙂 Lovely shots, Debbie.

His work goes so well with gardens. His exhibition has gone again now, Janet, and Kew felt a bit empty last time I was there. But the orchid festival opens soon, so I expect they will take my mind off it.

Nothing says “spring” to me more than cherry blossoms.

Same for me. Daffodils would be my alternative, but that to me is British spring, whereas cherry blossom is more international and sparks my imagination.
