Unbroken Resistance, Rotterdam, February 2020
This state’s full name is Unbroken Resistance (Ongebroken Verzet) but “Unbroken” is larger, as it is to symbolise all who fought or fight against injustice, not just the Resistance.
The man here is standing strong and rebellious, eyes raised high as he faces execution, and wearing torn clothing that indicates his previous sufferings.
