Statue of Fernando Pessoa, Lisbon, May 2017
Portuguese poet, Fernando Pessoa, was a regular customer at Cafe A Brasileira in Lisbon’s Largo do Chiado. And he is now a permanent visitor in the form of this bronze statue, which has been sitting there since 1988.
At the moment, however, Pessoa is under wraps while they relay the beautiful calçada tiles.

Yes, it’s a lovely little spot – I’ll have to go and admire the restored floor next time I’m over there

Gorgeous statue. Gordon Lightfoot is from Orillia, Ontario and here we have several bronze statues of him.
