Thanks to everyone who brought us an arch or two last week. Big thanks go to Maria for her hand-made arches; to Elke for her reverse approach; to Mari for two historic arches from an island still on my to-visit list; to Sylvia for some iconic arches; and, to Sririsha for a strikingly different take on the theme.

Not only did we get a bit of rain last night, but it’s cool enough to open the window…for at least a couple hours. Amazing!! 🙂 Here’s a spiral from one of my walks earlier in the summer.

I haven’t eaten snails since Jamaica, where after a rain storm we had to crunch our way back to the hotel. There were so many snails on the path.

I’ve never been a snail fan from a culinary point of view. I always think they taste only of the sauce so why bother!

We had them in the garden in Ohio, so we bought cheap beer to put in small depressions and drown them. We called it “slug beer.” 🙂 My most delicious memory of Jamaica many years ago was lobster pizza in one of those outdoor restaurants/cafes.

Like David I have also toyed with the idea of snail shells and then I had a glass of wine and then –> https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2020/08/30/spiralling-natures-way/
I like the depth of field in your shot, particularly in the last shot. Not just small spirals, then.

I almost went with snail shells. In the end I went with a different type of spiral in nature:

Love this spiral, Debbie. Ironic that the next theme is wet as we just got was passes for a good bit of rain here in the desert. Here that could mean 1/4″. 🙂 Hope you’re having a good weekend.
