I also have the London skyline — two photos from the same place, 25 years apart.

Oh yes, a great comparison. So many new buildings in the city but also some “modern” buildings still there, such as the National Theatre. Great post for the theme 😀

I think that particular building is listed, so it should continue to appear in photos for quite some time. I have to say that I prefer St Paul’s as a reference point!

For curvy beauty, yes. Just interesting that National Theatre is there – in fact had probably been there about 10 years in your older view, and that makes me feel old! 🙂

Perhaps ivy can be trained to grow up the sides, to soften the lines!

Stunning sky, on this damp and rainy Sunday I feel warm just looking at it. Mine, in contrast, makes me feel cold (and believe me, it was cold that day in Chicago). https://travels-with-my-camera.blog/2020/10/04/one-word-sunday-skyline/

But do feel free to link it in whatever, or maybe add some words and make it a six word saturday.

City skylines are constantly changing. I thought this might be London but wasn’t sure until I saw your description.

So lovely Debbie 🙂 Are there any Canaries on Canary Wharf?
LikeLiked by 2 people
Aha, there’s a long story behind that 🙂 🙂
It’s named after a dock where fruit from the Canary Islands arrived. More here: https://travelwithintent.com/2017/03/26/before-and-after-canary-wharf-london/

Did you know there are no Canaries on Canary Island….and on the Virgin Islands there’s no canaries either 😀 😀
Thanks for the link Debbie 🙂

Hopefully the tenterhooks didn’t hurt to much or stretch you too thin. Just FYI, I’ve never really paid attention to where that saying came from so this morning I looked it up: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenterhook. But here’s my very different take on “skyline”, although a skyline IS included. 🙂

A great response to the theme, Janet.
And I nearly looked up the phrase when I wrote it, but was in too much of a rush (work pressures)

As soon as I saw the theme and knew, that as always, I was looking for something a bit different, the plate came to mind as something no one else would have. 🙂
