Its closed at the moment I think so I didn’t have to risk that danger! But I was amazed at the force of the water. I spent ages watching the swans just the other side of the road bridge battling with it. Impressive.
You were lucky to be able to walk beside the river sometimes it overflows right across the paths, and so you’d have been joining the swans in their struggles. Did you make it as far as St Cross? if not . a treat for next time

The noise inside the mill is so loud at this time of year, can be quite daunting walking across the bridge inside!
