There’s a great stretch of street art on the Hertford Union Canal, near Lower Lock no. 3. Here’s a quick stroll on the towpath to admire the murals.

Very colorful! The lovely profile reminds me of Gauguin.

Just a little different from the traditional Roses & Castles that adorn traditional Canal narrowboats. Street Art can and is very skilful, certainly brightens up otherwise dull drab places…. but I often feel torn between the fine line that is art or graffiti 🙂

The artist didn’t leave much out of these, even the bench is pulled in to the art

Quite a lot of art in that corner, some nicer than others.
Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Debbie.

Don’t know this bit of the canals, but that image of the lady smoking is so striking, Debs. I love it! 🙂 🙂 Happy Monday!
