🙂 yes, pretty would never be used (except by another Marabou) but practical we have to admit

Looks like the inspiration for a Disney buzzard drawing. A bird only a mother Marabou could love. ; )

I’m not sure if I am to leave my submission here or not. So posting here again.
Or just post on my own blog? And hope somebody from here comes around?
I don’t see you as a follower so am confused.
Thanks!

Beautiful word Debbie Smyth.
Pretty ugly😀😀😀!
Thank you for the inspiration.
Beautiful ugly bird. Is this Marabou Stork?

Yes, it’s the Marabou Stork – a couple that I met in Tanzania.

That is one ugly stork. I thought it was a vulture. I joined with a couple of ugly creatures.

There are many similarities with the vulture. And you’ll often find them together – fighting over dead meat

What an interesting looking fella!
for a theme which proved more difficult than I’d thought. I spent a great deal of time considering what ugly is.

It’s surprisingly difficult isn’t it. It’s one of the words that we can throw out in criticism, but when we think and look there is always something attractive / cute / useful / ……

I know, right? I think I would be hard-pressed to use this word in a completely negative way.

Ohm he looks like his feathers were plucked – poor guy! He needs a make up artist:) Here is my ugly – https://wp.me/p9EWyp-2Ki

We’ll send you in to do the makeup, Jesh 🙂
The lack of hair makes it easier to get clean after sticking his head into a dead body!!!

Ai, Debbie, that is graphic! (laughing). Do you think up the subjects, or do you go by a list made by someone?

I make them up. Sometime because of something I had seen or read, sometimes to be seasonal, sometimes random. I try to choose things that can be interpreted widely!

And big thanks for sharing that amazing project, Carol

Although I’m desperate to get my hair back under control (still a few weeks until our hairdressers are able to open again) I’d rather have too much than have to look like a Marabou Stork!!

I’m with you on that one!

Most definitely ugly, but so ugly I would have had to take the photos too. Wonderful shots 😀

They aren’t all that easy to catch as they are often fighting over food. But in calmer moments they strut around as though very proud of their appearance.

Aww…I hate to call him ugly. I was gonna say ” a face only a mother…” but i see that is bushboys pingback.

Wow, you comment section looks different today, with red “Reply” buttons and other red highlights. But on to ugly. Perhaps one man’s ugly is another man’s what? Unique? Intriguing? Unusual? And by using the word “man”, am I being sexist? Ah, what a world we live in these days. At any rate, your guy is certainly not attractive (although to a female of the species, who knows?). I came up with three possibilities today and everyone can decide which they think is the ugliest. 🙂

I’d been having quite a few formatting problems with galleries and custom blocks, so decided to try out a new theme. It seems more reliable but I don’t love it yet. There may be more changes to come……

I toy with the idea of changing themes periodically but always imagine there will be all sorts of problems. So far I’m still with the theme I started with all those years ago. 🙂

I’ve changed 2 or 3 times. Not much work required. Press a button and cross your fingers! I think it might be smoother now with blocks

Yes, different is a kinder way to put it, Tom. They are well adapted to their style of life, with hair-free heads and necks. But they still manage a splash of colour 🙂

I struggled with this challenge. Most of the natural world species people find ugly I don’t so I went in a different direction with an ugly vehicle:

Not a beauty but looking at it for a while it becomes less ugly, somehow.
