Meet Inka

Inka closer to home (iPhone)

This is Inka, a Kerry Blue Terrier. The name is short for Kalinka, the title of a very well known Russian song, that reminds me of my schooldays and learning Russian. Калинка is the name of a berry tree, translated in a number of ways, including snowberry tree, redberry and viburnum.

You will probably have heard the song as it makes appearances at opening and closing shows of a variety of events, and in a number of films. Here is a link to one version:
