Leipzig Hauptbahnhof, Germany, August 2021
Leipzig Hauptbahnhof is a stunning building, and it is the largest railway station in Europe by floor area: 83,460 square metres. I would have taken many more photos if I hadn’t been running for my train!

Or a country that does it!
This one has had a recent boost in 2013 – they built a rail tunnel beneath the city and opened new platforms.

I lived in Germany for a few years, Leipzig was one of the last places we visited by one of my favourites. I’d very much like to return one day.

Stunning indeed! I loved Leipzig when I was there, about 12 years ago, but only had 48 hours in a city that needed a week.
