Your masthead image for this challenge is amazing – so vibrant and alive with light! All of your other selections have a very painterly vibe which I really really like. The stained glass from Israel is especially shimmery. Well done.

I loved the beach because it got away from all the tack, and when the tide is out you can walk for miles

I’m wondering when the sand arrived, Debs. I don’t have any memories of a sandy Blackpool- it was pebbles! Imported or is this at Lytham St. Anne’s? I never made it there. Happy weekend, anyway!

Always miles of sand! All the way from Fleetwood to Lytham.
Perhaps the other missing charms of Blackpool coloured your views and made you think pebbles.
Brighton and Worthing are pebbles, and Whitstable. Not sure where else

Blackpool as a town has lost much of its glamour and has a lot of issues, but the long sand beaches are wonderful
