    • It’s well worth doing for one or two nights, just to see the ups and downs this place has been through as a beach resort. The long, long sandy beach is wonderful, there’s a good restaurant with views to sea, fantastic sunsets, efficient trams along the coast, lovely modernist architecture at the Pleasure Beach, views from the tower. Just avoid the drunken hoards around the pubs.
