No better way to tour Porto

Miradouro Santa Catarina, Porto, December 2021

Outside Porto Cathedral, December 2021

I thoroughly enjoyed my tour of Porto in this oh-so-comfortable sidecar with an excellent guide. João  knows the history of Porto inside out and presents it as a fascinating story, positioning the different areas of the city within that history. And he knows exactly where to stop for the best views of this beautiful place. All of my regular readers know my photography obsession, and he was patient and happy to stop while I tinkered with my lenses.

João is a skilful driver so no safety worries and his passionate story telling will keep you fully entertained throughout the tour. Just remember to be ready to smile and wave at the passers by who openly admire your choice of transport.

I was only in Porto for a short break so did his shortest tour – I plan to do a longer one on my next visit.

Pop over to his website here to see what he offers and you can book online with ease, or just email or WhatsApp João to discuss your tour.

Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.

I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.

To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally – tweet, instagram, flickr, etc. with the hashtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS.

  1. I’ve bookmarked that site for next year as I’ve booked for a trip to Portugal and we are a few days in Porto. Not sure what plans are already in place but if I can I really want to do this one. I’m sure I can do even a half-day on this motorcycle – open air sightseeing. What could be better, so thank you for this information.

    • I hope you get to do it. He told history in a fun way. And he provides the things you need – helmet, storage in the back of the car, a cover for your legs if wet or cold. And even picks you up at your hotel/apartment.
