Unless a double decker comes along!

Elizabeth Tower, London, July 2022 (iPhone 11)
Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.
I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.
To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally – tweet, instagram, flickr, etc. with the hashtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS.

Hi Debbie, I didn’t know the tower had disappeared. I love the clouds! Here’s my link. It is a challenge to keep the title to six words that work! 🙂 https://alwayswrite.blog/2022/07/09/missing-good-title-for-this-post/

It had been under scaffolding for a long time, so it is now nice to see it looking shiny and new

Love the big red buses. We had a fun tour on one the week we visited my sister who’s married to a Brit. Mine is a different color, very green. https://fakeflamenco.com/2022/07/09/oh-my-goodness-is-that-gumby/

I didn’t know the “proper” name either. You learn something new every day. 🙂 I’m encouraging you to slow down and enjoy the view today…or at least someone is.

I didn’t know it was called Elizabeth Tower either, always known it as Big Ben or is that the bell’s name 🤔 Here’s mine: https://jezbraithwaite.blog/2022/07/09/contrail-mirroring-curve-of-a-building/

It is rarely referred to by its proper name – generally Big Ben is used for the tower as well as the contents 🙂

Learned something new again – did not know that the tower was named Elizabeth tower.

I guess it has been wrapped up for cleaning and a bit of renovation?

Yes it had been wrapped for about 3 years. They are still working inside but is meant to open to the public soon.

Ah, pesky buses. There to mess with your plans whenever you get a camera out… Although you got the better of this one.

The logo on the bus kind of sums up today’s attitude to life, doesn’t it? Happy weekend, Debs! Doing anything fun?

Yes, I like the buses for their up-to-date view on life. Off for a walk today, possibly Colne Valley, but the heat may change my plans as it doesn’t work well for a dog. Have you got a busy weekend, Jo?

Ah, the dog to consider! Weekends are sometimes my quieter times, Debs, and it’s going to be darn hot here. T’ai chi this morning, a concert and supper tonight. We’re off along the coast to Praia da Luz on Monday, chasing a breeze for Mick’s birthday. The beaches are better avoided at weekends at this time of year because they get busy.

Ah yes. Definitely avoid the crowds! Happy breeze chasing!
