Now it has been so long ago we lived there that I don’t remember we went with the U-Bahn, because we had a (rickety) car:) A very happy New Year to you Debbie-and that it may be an easier year than last year! Here’s my own One Word Sunday.

Works perfectly for your word, Debbie. I hope to be doing lots of traveling this year as well, including a trip overseas. We’ll see how it all works out. Regardless of how much travel I get to do, this is a new year and that’s where I went. A blessed and happy 2023!

It’s a great photo — I am wondering, though, if it you didn’t create an illusion of something that doesn’t exist. I remember the Berlin underground a lot more grotty. 😀 Anyway, you went for a modern, almost futurist motive – I went for the opposite: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2023/01/01/remains/

This is on the new line that only opened a couple of years ago, so is a bit brighter than many others. But I think they are clean on the whole – they have cleaned and tidied I think and have incorporated stories of their history too, especially in the ones that were closed during Cold War

Yes, I hope you manage to. I have a number of travel plans in my mind at the moment – just need to balance time and cost!

I’m glad it has that effect. It’s a stunning station.
And needless to say Berlin is on my list to return to this year, especially as there is a new sleeper train service starting in May
