Easy reach from Edinburgh and a great walk along the coast and out to the island on a causeway

Ah, yes, I must dig out my mother’s 1950s image of some boats in the harbour there

Clever stuff. Yep, Kew seems to be Flight Path Central.

Yes, it’s always busy overhead. I have a friend who enjoys tracking them as we walk around so I know where they all from or going to!

Kew is on the Heathrow flightpath. I used to live in Barnes so I remember it well. Great photo!

Never a quiet moment. But it was a very different story in Kew during lockdown

I remember the empty skies during lockdown. It was the same in Ontario.

Wow they sure grow the plants big at Kew Gardens – look how that stem of flowers dwarfs the jet! (Sorry but I couldn’t resist the humor.) Wonderful photo as always, Debbie.

Humour is always very welcome, Basje. And it’s fun playing with perspectives 🙂

These are great. I love the use of black and white. Your choice of subject and the blurry plane in the background is excellent. I like the two subject nature of this photo. It is very interesting, and takes the viewer to the moment.
