Seven Dials, London, September 2024

In Covent Garden, seven streets converge at a junction known as Seven Dials, named for the monument standing in the centre of the roundabout. The column bears six blue sundials at its summit, with the column itself acting as the seventh sundial.

Unusual and a place I haven’t heard of. I shall look up BB’s link.

I immediately thought of the Seven Dials I used to live on in Brighton, it isn’t as stunning as this one in London and of course I don’t have a photo of it!!
Great square Debbie

Quite interesting. The history of why the 7 roads gather there and the sundials needs a bit of research

I have never given that much thought. I will investigate further.

And a fascinating history – it has been through a lot. It is now an upmarket area and well-kept.
