Art display at Outernet London, Tottenham Court Road, January 2025
Outernet London, situated at the corner pf Tottenham Court Road and Charing Cross, provides active art displays on giant Ultra HD screens. There are 2 galleries, open to the street and free to enter. There are many different shows per day, typically running between 2 and 10 minutes. To see what’s on, click here or just pop in if you’re passing. I particularly enjoyed this geometric display.
It was followed by Forsaken, a display apparently inspired by the Immortal Jellyfish, you can watch a video clip below.

The kind of black hole effect was quite overwhelming – it was hard to hold my phone steady!

They do more calming shows too – like butterflies, or fish floating around

It certainly is. It’s a popular area for people to take a break form the rush outside. It sits right above Tottenham Court Road tube. And when is saw these last week there was a little coffee hut set up in the back corner.

I used to pass by Tottenham Court Rd almost every day of my young life, Debs. I’m sure lots has changed since then.

I doubt you’d recognise it, Jo. But this arty spot is a good place to take a pause.
