A rainy view across Tokyo, May 2023

This image and haiku are part of my current project inspired by the Japanese concept of ma, the appreciation of tiny moments of silence. Some of these images and photos are in my exhibition that starts next week.
Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.
I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.
To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally with the hashtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS. You’ll find me on Instagram @travel_travel_with_intent and @dsmythphoto

Congratulations on the opening of your exhibition, Debbie! I looked at the write up on Lauderdale House’s site and it looks fabulous! I love that you are sharing your work and forwarding the idea of silence and the empty spaces as they inform our experiences of the world.

Thanks Ju-Lyn. The opening night was busy and it was great to talk to so many people about my work

A wonderful photo, quite stunning. Like Brian I couldn’t match your title, I didn’t even try. The explanation what I did instead is in my post (breaking the 6 word rule) but here it is: https://picturesimperfectblog.com/2025/08/16/the-bread-of-those-early-years/
All the best for your exhibition!
