It’s interesting how many chickens, and other animals too, have crossed roads to give us a bad joke. There have been numerous versions of “why did the chicken cross the road…” since the first one was told in New York in 1847, but I don’t know how far these have spread across cultures and languages.

Ahhh, Nandos … I wish they had it in Germany. It’s been on my mind lately. We just were on holiday in Crete and we got to talk to our waiter who stemmed from New Delhi. When he heard about our South African past he said he had very fond memories of working for Nandos in Dubai. 😋

I used to love Nando’s when we lived in Africa’s south (where it is from, which many people don’t know). If I ordered the peri-peri my small children would not eat my portion! And they had the greatest ads. Here is my favourite: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jaqvSGGrW6c

I have to admit I had forgotten their origin now that we see them everywhere over here. I rarely eat there, but I always enjoy it when I do. And what a clever reason to go spicy! 🙂
