-Look Up, Look Down Challenge, Week 41

Venice is literally littered with bars, all plying their tourist-saving refreshments, usually accompanied by a little snack; maybe just be some salted crisps, or maybe some tasty cichetti (Italian tapas).

Looking up at the stunning architecture around St Mark’s Square, this particular bar caught my attention for its sign, more than its goods.  You’ll have to excuse the pigeons their brazen advertising of a well-known drinks brand because, that aside, this is a beautiful image looking down on an unusually peaceful St Mark’s Square.  And take a closer look at the surround for a sneek peak at the nearby buildings in reflection. ******************************************************************************** The Challenge
