Livingstone is a lively town, with a strong tourist infrastructure; not surprising given its proximity to Victoria Falls.
It is the only town in Zambia to have retained its colonial name, demonstrating the people’s pride in and fondness of Dr. Livingstone.

Takes me back to 2010 when my sister and I visited Zimbabwe. We walked from Zim to Zambia .At Zambia boarder post we had to wait for taxis to pick us up and take us in to Livingstone.

Wow, that’s an exciting way to enter. We went in by ferry from Botswana.

Sure was, because there were only 2 taxi’s coming and going and we were about 20 in the group. Took us some time to get together as a group again

I had a fantastic time there. Even came back and spent a couple more nights on the same trip.

I wasn’t there long enough at all. I stayed just outside on the river which was just beautiful. I will definitely return to see more of the country. Probably earlier in the year to see the falls in full flow.
