Silver Boughs in the Northern Quarter

These vine-adorned windows belong to Afflecks, a large store that is home to over 70 individual units.  It opened initially in 1981 as Afflecks Palace but went through some troubled times, closing in 2008 and opening again as just Afflecks in 2008.  This is a go-to place Manchester retail outlet for vintage shopping. And pretty on the outside too.

  1. This facade is fabulous – a silver creeping vine or moss that adds a hint of whimsy to the already beautiful building. The attraction that it generates is better than any other form of advertising…
