Scottish Rooftops and Chimney Pots

Look Up, Look Down, week 7

Every Thursday, I publish a post containing photos taken from above or below, and invite you to join in the challenge by posting your own photos with an up or down perspective.

All I remember of my first visit to Edinburgh as a child is a sanitised hotel close to the airport and banana cake.  As for my second visit as a university student, I remember a night club, lemon chicken in a Chinese restaurant and Arthur’s Seat.

Finally, I am getting to appreciate this beautiful city’s culture, architecture and great food.  Oh, and the whisky of course!

I have to say, it also does a fine line in chimney pots.

Looking Down from the 7th floor roof terrace of the Museum of Scotland, you get these beauties:

  1. Great photos! I love Edinburgh. I would have been there this weekend if I had any holiday left that didn’t need to be saved for Christmas.

My entry should hopefully be up later today.
