I adore rhubarb and custard.

You would certainly need a giant portion of the yellow stuff to go with this Giant Rhubarb (Gunnera manicata). The leaves can be as much as 2 metres in width and the small flowers grow on upright panicles that can reach 1 metre in height.
.
It’s a robust perennial, likes rich soil and some shelter from the wind. This specimen was in Kew Gardens, London, but you could grow it at home if you have the space!

Too easy really but at least I get to do all the grammar again from scratch. I went for a “false beginners” class which is targeted at people who’ve studied to about O level but a while ago. I don’t think many in the class have though, so it’s moving rather too slowly. I had been tempted to start at year 2 but didn’t want to risk missing some basic grammar. It may all speed up once people get into it so I’m sticking it out. Besides, I’ve paid now! It’s at Kings College on the Strand and the teacher is very good.

Ah, a good teacher is something! It’s hard to find a class where everyone’s at the same level. Have you asked whether they will let you move up a year…?

All the classes are full at the moment so I’ll give it a few weeks and see if people drop out above. Some of the slower ones in my class might even leave and that would make a big difference.

Maybe one of them would like to swap! You could always make it known to the Y2 teachers that you’d be up for that, should one of their students have overestimated his/her level.

That’s a very good idea, I’ll give that a go, thanks
